Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok

Excellent value for money, in fact, probably the best value for money I've seen in any hotel in all countries I've visited.

As far as the rooms go, the Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok would be one of the best value for money hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere.  You can always get some good deals at good hotels in Bangkok and Thailand but still, this is a newer property and the rooms were as good as many 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at, and better than a lot of much more expensive hotels.

Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Outside

Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok is located about 500m down Sukhumvit Soi 15 (from Sukhumvit Road).  A lot of hotels are more convenient but you can easily walk to either Nana or Asoke BTS even in the hottest part of the year.  If you’re really lazy, they provide a free shuttle that zips back and forth to Terminal 21, a big shopping mall about 600-700m away.  That’s about a 10 minute walk and there’s motorcycles that you can jump on if you’re brave enough. It’s a short distance should be no problem.

The rooms at Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 are really nice, again, as nice as much more expensive hotels, large, big bathrooms, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Not much of a view from my room but that’s not a big deal when you’re paying that price.  Nothing at all to complain about with the rooms and you won’t disappointed if you stay here.

Unfortunately I didn’t any food here. It’s a bit of waste eating food at any hotel in Bangkok because you can almost always go down the road and find something better for a fraction of the price. You don’t need to walk far to find some street food and if that’s not your thing there’s plenty of cafe’s and little inside restaurants within 10 minutes walking.

Terminal 21 Shopping Mall also has a food floor and a supermarket with little stalls.  The shopping here is a bit more for the younger crowd but it’s pretty good and you can find most things there.  The staff at Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 were excellent, didn’t have much interaction with them but what I did they were the usual friendly and helpful as most of the Thai’s are.

Movenpick Sukhumvit

I booked this directly with the hotel but it’s available on most booking sites and for what you get, the price is almost unbelievable, probably because you’ve got to walk a little more than most other hotels to get to the BTS, which is the only form of transportation you should get.  I should mention it took almost 2 hours to get here from the airport on a Friday afternoon.

Shower

This isn’t the hotels fault of course, they’re doing major roadworks on one of the main roads inside Bangkok and it was a complete nightmare.  Plus my idiot Grab (Thai version of Uber) driver didn’t stay on the highway which probably didn’t help. Anyway, book Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
