Kula Wild Adventure Park

Nice little break from the beach, this is small but very well done and well worth the visit if you're looking for something different to do.

Kula Wild Adventure Park is about 30 minutes drive from the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa.  It’s small, but if you’re looking for things to do in Fiji and are staying with an hours drive, this is probably something worth driving to.  Just don’t get too excited, it’s not outrageously awesome and must-visit, but I think most kids will like it as it’s got a zip line and water slide as well as the animals.

Entrance

Costs for Kula Wild Adventure Park vary depending on what you do inside and cost more if you want to do the zipline and waterslide. As soon as you get in, you get to hold a snake and Iguana.  There’s quite a few Iguana’s so even if there’s someone there, you won’t have to wait long. The lady in charge of that is nice and makes sure everybody gets a turn. There was only one person there when we arrived so no worries, when we left, Grobbler wanted to hold another snake which was no problem.  As far as the animal part goes, that’s the best part.

Fiji Snakes

Once done with that, you enter the Kula Wild Adventure Park and will see some sea turtles and stingray in a small outside tank, some live corals in an aquarium, then walk through some aviaries with some different types of birds and mostyl parrots.  And that’s really about it, You’ll then get to the kids wet playground, which is for younger kids, then a short walk is where the water slide is. Before you go up the slide there’s a bunch more Iguana’s.

Iguanais in Fiji

The water slide at Kula Wild Adventure Park is pretty good, you can actually go really fast so if your kids are a bit wimpy, better not to send them up because it’s 100m and you can’t go down with them.  Most normal kids will love it though. You pay for unlimited goes so might as well make the most of it when you go.

Kula Wild Adventure Park Fiji

We didn’t do the Zip Line at Kula Wild Adventure Park, not something that really appeals to either myself or Grobbler but it looked alright.  Again that’s extra cost and you’ll need to decide at reception if you want to do that. The whole park is not very big but it’s nice, it’s clean and the animals are kept in clean, humane conditions and looked happy.  Despite the small size, I’d say it’s one of the best things we’ve been to like that, if only for the fact you can hold snake and Iguana’s.

The staff at Kula Wild Adventure Park are nice and friendly, and overall I’d say this is worth going to if you’re within an hours drive.  Check out their Facebook page here or email us for questions about how to get there or if you should go or not.   Check out our Fiji Destination Guide here.
