If you’re going to Niagara Falls with kids I think there’s enough to see and do there to keep them entertained. Infants and babies, as I always say, are easy to deal with as they don’t have clue where they are. I think Gobbler (5 years old at time of this writing) would have found it quite interesting and he would have loved going onto the boat and getting a bit wet. Once you’re done with the actual falls, here’s a few other things to do in Niagara Falls with kids.
Dinosaur Adventure Golf – One of Canada’s biggest mini golf parks, this is actually not bad. Two 18 hole courses with around 50 dino’s to keep the little ones amused. The highlight though could be the 50 foot “volcano” that has steam coming out of it. As with most things in Niagara with kids or without kids, check the website for opening hours because a lot of things to do in Niagara Falls with kids are seasonal. Definitely worth a visit if your kids are into dinosaurs.
Bird Kingdom – Billed (pun intended) as the worlds’ largest indoor “free” flying aviary, the Bird Kingdom at Niagara Falls is actually pretty good and a great place to kids who have had enough of the falls. You can do the obligatory hold a parrot and there’s a few other bird experiences as well as some snakes, tortoises, chameleons, bearded dragons and other animals. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Niagara Falls with kids.
Fallsview Waterpark – Don’t worry, it’s indoors so you won’t freeze your nuts off. This place has some wicked, proper water slides you can have some real fun on. You could probably spend a few hours in here very easily, more if your kids are older, and they’ve also got a wave pool, some smaller play areas for the real little ones and a couple of hot tubs for adults. Great Wolf Lodge is also a water park and ideal for staying at in Niagara Falls with kids.
