Koh Samui with kids is easy – find a hotel with a pool and within walking distance of the beach, and you’ll be right. I went here with my Dad and Nana and Poppa and had a great time essentially spending most of my time in the pool or on the beach looking for crabs. Just goes to show you it’s not really where you are that counts, it’s who you’re with. Anyway, here’s a few things to do in Koh Samui with kids.
Samui Water Park Pink Elephant – as it says, a waterpark with some slides near Maenam. Never been but looks alright and maybe worth a nosey if you’re around the area.
Coco Splash Water Park – same same but different. Also never been but you might get a break from the kids for a couple of hours if you want to show up here.
Aquapark Samui – are you noticing a theme here?! A bunch of giant inflatable things your kids can have a crack at. Right outside the Monkey Bar on Chaweng Beach.
Ang Thong National Marine Park – Finally something a little bit different. You have to travel about 40km west of Koh Samui to get here, but it’s worth it. Kayak with the kids around and in between some lovely islands and coves, do some snorkelling and have some lunch on a secluded beach. Of all of the things to do in Koh Samui with kids, this is probably the best, obviously not that suitable for younger ones, but over 4 or 5 and they should enjoy it.
Although there’s not a lot to do in Koh Samui with kids, if your kids are like me and love the water, swimming, beaches and fish, then Koh Samui is not a bad place to spend 3-4 days. Anymore than that and we might start to get bored.
