So here’s my take on Da Nang with kids. Yeah, I know, how unlucky to get bitten by a rat! I had to go to hospital and get loads of injections, like 4 over the space of about 3 hours because the doctors didn’t know how I’d react – damn ridiculous. I was a real good boy though and didn’t cry much but for that reason, Da Nang will never be a place I can rate highly and can’t really recommend Da Nang with kids too much.
There’s not much to do for kids anyway even if you’ve already booked a holiday in Da Nang with kids, I mean the hotel was pretty good, had our own pool and had a good time in that but the weather was awful we couldn’t even stay in too long before getting cold. The outdoor rain shower at the InterContinental Da Nang was wicked, I spent a lot of time in there, as you should too. The InterContinental Da Nang also has a kids club which is not bad, loads of games and things to do. It was really windy and almost cold when we stayed so didn’t spend much time at the beach and didn’t do any customary crab hunting as is the norm on most of my beach holidays.
Marble Mountains were ok, got to go down some caves and see some spooky statues but I wasn’t overly that impressed. Mum and Dad had one of their big Barney’s at the cave too so I don’t rate that highly either. It’s ok for kids, but I wouldn’t be hassling your mum and dad to go there, better to stay at the hotel, if it’s the InterContinental Da Nang, which will make Da Nang with kids that much more enjoyable for you.
So there you go, short and sweet, I didn’t think Da Nang was too crash hot for kids. I mean for 2-3 days I guess it’d be ok for playing around the beach and pool if you had good weather, but other than that, naff all else to do in Da Nang.
