You think the service in some of Hong Kong’s camera stores is pretty bad? Well you ain’t seen nothing until you visit this camera shop in Singapore. What a total a-hole the guy is who stands outside the shop trying to lure you in or tell you to piss off if you’re not absolutely going to buy something.
There’s a guy who stands outside the store, which is a sure sign you’re going to be ripped off, and he asks you somewhat politely what you’re looking for. All ok for now, however, if you happen to be just having a look for some possible hidden treasures or not sure what you want, you are not welcome. After telling him friendly enough I was just having a look, the absolute asshole said goodbye. I wasn’t even in the shop. I still walked in and he asked again, “are you looking for anything”, I replied, not sure just taking a look thanks, to which he again said “ok goodbye”, “have a good day”, but not meaning it and in a “piss off out of out of my store if you don’t intend to buy anything” kind of tone. He continued this until I did actually leave.
I’ve never encountered such a rude, arrogant prick of a salesman in my 45 years, about from perhaps the lady at Dotwell photo in Hong Kong and if you’re looking for a camera in Singapore, or camera accessories, make sure to stay well away from Treasurelux Photo Store Singapore, also know as Treasurelux Trading. They’re a typical tourist trap with the location only saving them from certain closure because the absolute tosspot outside certainly isn’t keep the business afloat. There’s much better camera shops in Singapore so stay away Treasurelux Photo Store Singapore and visit one of the many others that provide much better service.
