If you want to get all the specs on Rollei CR200, just Google it and you can get all excited by how sharp and fine the grain is. If you want to know what it really looks like, then check the samples below. This probably isn’t going to be pretty. I don’t like any of the Rollei films and Rollei CR200 slide film is no exception. For some reason I kept buying Rollei film, hoping some day it’d turn up something nice, but alas, it wasn’t to be.
It looks so washed out and faded to me, not just Rollei CR200, which you’d expect, as a slide film, would at least be sharp, but all the Rollei films. They tend to have this orangy brownish tone that isn’t flattering to anybody or anything. Now to be fair I haven’t tried all of them, only this, SuperPan 200 (horrible), Rollei Retro 400S, and the Rollei VarioChrome Limited Edition. It’s definitely got a distinctive look and if you like that look, that’s great, but it’s definitely not for me.
