The Luigans Hotel Fukuoka

A great option if you want to stay away from the city and enjoy the outdoors

Luigans Hotel Fukuoka 3

The Luigans Hotel Fukuoka is right next to a huge park ideal for families. The room we stayed in, standard room, was a bit small but fine for a few days. Swimming pool was under renovation so didn’t try that. It’s located by the sea and has a huge lawn where kids can run around. Staff are friendly and you’ll receive that typical Japanese service which is one of the best in the hospitality industry anywhere in the world. Perhaps not quite up to Thailand, but close.

Luigans Hotel Fukuoka

The food at The Luigans Hotel Fukuoka was good without being outstanding but the real reason you’ll stay here is to be with walking distance of Uminonakamichi Park. There’s also an aquarium next door but it’s pretty mediocre.  Uminonakamichi Park is excellent, like most Japanese parks it caters to kids of all ages, especially younger ones. There’s a massive bouncy white hill thing you can spend hours on. Hire a bike and ride around the whole back and have a picnic.  We probably spent most of our time on this visit to Fukuoka at this park and being at the Luigans Hotel Fukuoka right next door makes it so much easier.

Luigans Hotel Fukuoka Japan

The Luigans Hotel Fukuoka is a good hotel, probably 4 star hotel without the bells and whistles, but would go back again anytime. It’s about 30mins from the city so if you want to stay away from it all, this is ideal.  The grounds are not that pretty, but with a massive grass area out in front, it’s ideal if you miss space like I do.  The beach area is not that great but it’s nice to have a walk out there after dinner and catch golden hour for some photos.  This is not a luxury hotel but it’s more than fine if you want a short stay with some open spaces, fresh air, and give the kids somewhere proper to play and run around.
