What To Do in Yokohama - China Town

Yohokama Station – Most of the major hotels and shopping malls are in this area, especially the west exit where many subway and train lines are connected. This is where you go to find a wide range of food stores and boutiques from the local and international brands.

Minato Mirai 21 – This is where you can find Yokohama’s most popular tourist attractions. Yokohama Landmark Tower is a 296 meter sky scraper with a shopping complex. The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a building where you can find loads of shops and restaurants and amusement facilities which offer entertainment day and night. What To Do in Yokohama - Food

Yamashita Park – This is one of the most popular and loved areas in Yokohama where you can enjoy the distinctive atmosphere and history of Yokohama. There’s a number of antique historic pieces of architecture in western style which symbolise Yokohama culture, restaurants with a long tradition, and some upscale hotels.

Yokohama China Town – Yokohama Chinatown is one of the largest Chinatowns in the world and some say it’s the best with around 500 Chinese restaurants, Chinese grocery shops and plenty of other shops found in all Chinatowns around the world. Like most Chinatowns, it’s busy afternoons and really gets cracking at night.

What To Do in Yokohama

Motomachi – Renowned for being a trendsetting city and home to many local fashion brands, Motomachi reaffirms Yokohama as fashion and stylish city.  All Japanese dress nicely and you won’t find locals walking around the streets in flip flops and singlets. The classical western residential area in Yamate where foreigners first settled is nice and worth taking a nosey at.
