Shenzhen would be somewhere near the bottom of my list to go for photography.  Nobody says “oh it’s a fantastic place for street, or landscape, or cityscapes, or well, anything”.  This is going to be candids and snapshots of the family only.

On my last visit I just took a bunch of film and my Leica MP, and actually, I came back with some okay shots. Okay, so they were all of Grobbler, but it just goes to show you don’t need an exotic destination to get good shots.  Well, I wouldn’t call them good shots, but shots that I liked.

Anyway, there really isn’t a single thing in Shenzhen that you would want to visit to photograph. I suppose you could go to Windows of the World, which consists of replica’s of famous landmarks. Take your iPad, and use that to take photographs, you’ll fit right in.
