If you’re going to Phuket with kids there’s loads of family friendly/oriented hotels to choose from, just make sure you choose the right location in Phuket based on what you like to do. Here’s what Grobbler has to say about visiting Phuket with kids: I wasn’t even walking when I went to Phuket but nevertheless had a most excellent time crawling around and exploring things. Had I known mum and dad buggered off and left me with Grandma to play golf, I might very well have had a bit of a meltdown and/or pooed in my pants, but Grandma and me got stuck into some fruits, had races around the Villa and in general had a good time. The only time I left the resort was to go down to the beach where I discovered a dog, who I must admit I wasn’t that impressed with, and attempted to make friends with some waves. At that time waves weren’t really my thing so I found the beach a little boring and Dad said it was one of the stinkest beaches he’s been to in Thailand.
If you’re going to Phuket with kids, this is Phuket, so depending on where you’re staying, you won’t have to go far to find the typical beach activities like Banana Boats, kayaks, water skiing, and all that type of stuff for older kids. For younger kids, it’s a beach, so crab hunting, sea creature spotting, building sandcastles, running with your Dad down the beach pretending you’re in Chariots of Fire, are all things that I’d have down had I been able to walk.
