I would never go back to Langkawi with kids, and actually I don’t think I’d want to go back to Langkawi without kids, it’d be even more boring. Here’s what Grobbler has to say about it all:
Langkawi with kids is about as boring as watching England and Wales play rugby. Okay, I’m a fair kid, and I admit it didn’t really help I was only 1 and a bit yrs old so didn’t really matter where I was, I wouldn’t have known much or wouldn’t have been able to do a terrible amount. But if you’re looking to go to Langkawi with kids, sorry to say Langkawi is not the place. Apparently there’s a wildlife park, crocodile adventure land (which I would have rather fancied in my older years) but other than that, bugger all else to do in Langkawi and as you can see by the photo, the highlight was making funny faces against the hotel suite window.
By the way, just to fill in the time, check out the Langkawi Wildlife park’s facebook link above, their claim to fame is being the 20th of 25 Zoo’s in Asia Travellers Choice on TripAdvisor. That’s a bit like my Dad running down the street in his grundies shouting he’s the 98th best photographer out of 105.
I do wonder if it would be any different now that I can swim and rip around by myself most places. For sure, it would have probably been more fun because on Dad and my recent trip to Bintan Island, we basically didn’t do much except swim in the hotel pool the entire time and I rated that holiday a 100/10. But in Langkawi, the hotel wasn’t as good, the food wasn’t as good, and there’s a few more things to do in Bintan Island than on Langkawi.
The bottom line is that I’d really think twice if you’re thinking about Langkwai with kids, or without kids. If you have to choose, go to Langkawi with kids because at least we’ll provide some entertainment for you.
