Okay so we only stayed 5 nights, but even if you stay longer, you’re not going to come back with a bunch of awesome Langkawi photos.  You can get a few good sunset shots of a pretty boring beach, maybe take an ND filter or 2 and get some long exposures to make it a bit more interesting, but photographically, Langkawi is about as inspiring as it is in general. There’s hundred of better places to take photos than Langkawi so this is one place I’d travel light, take one camera, one lens, and maybe just focus on portraits or candids of the family.
