Make sure you’re shooting in RAW as the snow will play tricks with your camera’s metering. Usually overexposing by a stop and a half or 2 stops will sort things out and avoid you having to post process every single image in Lightroom or Photoshop, the key is to keep the snow white and avoid it turning blue or grey. For this trip I just took the Sony FDR X300 Action Cam for it’s stability in video and the Ricoh GR2, which was actually not that fantastic for skiing but I used it a lot in Tokyo after Kiroro.
